I believe we should be headed somewhere definite.  But I also believe we can’t know where best to head if we have only ourselves as our reference point.  We need truth, a truth which comes from outside of us, a truth which comes from God.  This alone can put solidity under our feet and a spring in our step.

I am part of a community that seeks to take in this truth so that it profoundly shapes our lives.  We are not wholly successful but we don’t give up the quest and we do keep learning little by little.  We are disciples, disciples who follow the one who said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
